Socket Termination Course
This 1-day practical training course is meant for persons involved in
the maintenance and socketing of wire ropes. In this course they are trained how
to carry out resin socketing in a correct way using safe working practices.
Content training
This training consists of a theoretical and a (larger) practical part
covering the following subjects on socketing with resin
Set up of Training
This 1-day training starts with a short theoretical instruction
but consists mainly out of practical instructions and exercises
in a group of minimum 6 and maximum 10 participants.
The training is concluded with a theoretical and practical exam,
in which a wire rope must be socketed.
Certificate
Participants who pass the exam will receive a certificate
approved by DNV. This certificate has a validity of 4 years. The
examination is conducted by BPB. Language
This training is in the English language.
Location
The training can be followed at the SAIO Training Center in Rotterdam where
we have all the facilities required. On request we can organise the training at
other locations in the world, e.g. on or in the neighbourhood of a project.
